What We Love In March

Image: Allbirds

We’ve battled through storm after storm this Winter, so we’re optimistic for Spring. Upgrade your leather and denim to some gorgeous sustainable alternatives. Visit the new Allbird’s Marylebone store and pledge to make a conscious change to your life and your wardrobe with #fashionourfuture. Plus we have launched a dedicated space on the site for Weddings. Stay tuned for real life bridal diaries and inspiration for creating a sustainable day.

We’re Visiting

Following the success of Allbird’s Covent Garden store, our favourite woolen trainer brand has opened a second branch in London’s Marylebone. The decor is inspired by neighbouring Regents Park and features chairs painted in ‘Regents Park Green’ and a counter that references Marylebone Brick. To celebrate the new location, they have released a limited edition Wool Runner called Poppy. We love the vibrant orange shade, said to be a response to London’s usually grey, drizzly weather.

We’re Sporting Alternative Leather Jackets

As the weather lightens up, theres nothing better than pulling on your old faithful leather jacket. If you prefer to go vegan, we have the perfect selection for you. Choose from waste fruit fibre or kombucha leather. But hurry, both Bite Studios and Taylor Wilson’s jackets are available now for pre order.

We’re Pledging To Make Change

It’s all very well trying to do your bit, but who’s holding you to it? Amy Powney, thats who. Amy is the Creative Director of Mother of Pearl and now Founder of Fashion Our Future. The community is intended to spark conversation and inspire people to make an important change to their consumption habits. Are you a Fixer? Maybe you fancy being a Rent Girl? Get involved today and you’re in good company. Amber Valetta, Jasmine Hemsley and Adoah Aboa have already pledged.

We’re Having Serious Blouse Envy

It’s official, Peter Pan collars are a thing this season. And while we don’t usually jump on a passing trend, we love this one because it’s all about vintage! You could find a copy on the high street, but where’s the fun in that? Instead, we’re trawling Instagram and Depop for just the right blouse. Here are a few we love.

We’re Visiting COS Denim Store

It’s no secret that we love a bit of denim (see our ode to upcycled denim here). So we are excited to visit COS pop up store at Coal Drops Yard as they celebrate the launch of their new sustainable denim collection. Created from organic cotton, the pieces come without the standard metal rivets that make denim so difficult to recycle. In an effort to help you extend the life of your denim, the pop up will feature a tailoring service providing alterations and repairs.

Pop Up until March 8th

We’re Pouting

Our favourite non toxic lipstick brand La Bouche Rouge have just elevated their cool by one more point. (If it were even possible!) They have collaborated with iD Magazine with recreate the same shade of hot pink that appeared in the mags iconic logo in 1980. The new collectable shade is aptly named i-D NO.1 1980. Paired with it’s totally chic reusable leather case, you’re bound to fall in love.

We’re Renting

Peer to peer rental platform By Rotation are launching some exciting new brand partnerships, allowing their community access to sustainable labels. One such label is Sabinna, a brand based in London, regularly showing at Fashion Week. In an effort to make the collections available to a wider audience, Sabinna have made some exclusive pieces available to rent. It’s a great way to dip your toe into a new look this Spring.
