Wanna elevate your homeware this spring? With the sun (finally!) shining and flowers blooming we’re feeling energised by the most lovely of all the seasons. If you’re in the mood to give your home a refresh, then you’ve come to the right place. Whether you’re looking for small accessories, minimal furniture or naturally scented candles, there are so many ways to invest in a cosy home atmosphere. Investing in a linen table cloth or in cushions and a robe with personality can uplift the energy of the room in a heartbeat. We did a round-up of our latest favourite brands and shops: whether you’re a minimal junkie or a maximalist lover, there’s something for all.
RIANNA + NINA capsule collection with Cabana Magazine
RIANNA + NINA is the colourful brand created with a love for exclusive vintage textiles sourced from around the globe. They share a passion for craftsmanship and a deep belief in bringing true luxury to their customer. This spring, RIANNA + NINA dabble in homeware with a limited-edition capsule designed exclusively for Cabana Magazine. In the collaborative range you’ll find one-of-a-kind cushions, kimonos and table linen. The Obi Table Linen is made from vintage interior fabric from the 80s and decorated with square pieces of Japanese vintage obi belts. Their peacock cushion is made of an antique, Chinese hand-embroidered fabric from the 19th century, with the reverse covered in a quilted viscose Ikat print.
Ambar
Ambar is an independent homeware brand based in London, and all of their stunning products are designed, developed and manufactured here in the UK. They’re proud supporters of the Campaign for Wool, and members of both the Crafts Council and UKFT (UK Fashion & Textile Association). They use Woolmark-certified 100% merino wool which is breathable and biodegradable. Its also moisture-wicking, meaning it requires less washing. Their latest collaboration is with illustrator & tattoo enthusiast Mariana Ou, but other lines include design-duo Craig & Kar. Inspired by traditional mark-making and printing, they are able to produce very small batches and work closely with their British manufacturer. They make a point of learning the origin of every yarn used and what solutions each supplier offers to reduce or eliminate the impact each fibre processing stage brings to the environment.
Aerende
Aerende is an online shop selling beautiful products and gifts for your home. Everything is made in the UK by people facing social challenges and makers who struggle to access or maintain conventional employment. The non-profit organisation was founded in 2016 by Emily Mathieson, a former travel editor for The Guardian, Condé Nast Traveller and Red. A passion for beautiful, useful, locally made homewares led her to question the lack of high-quality options in the ethical interiors sector. Although the hub remains a home office in Hertfordshire, Aerende operates as a social enterprise in which all makers, and the organisations who represent them, are integrally involved. Their tagline of ‘life-improving homewares’ reflects their commitment to sourcing and designing unique, limited-edition products.

Founded in 2018, Alice Gwyneth Jewellery specialises in the Ethical, Eco & sustainable creation of jewellery, and now, a stunning line of homeware – or home jewellery. Alice’s journey began in New Zealand where she studied the basics of Goldsmithing whilst working alongside experienced craftswomen. Now living in London, her ethos & ethics embody all aspects of sustainability and design. All pieces are handmade to order by Alice from eco friendly, ethically sourced materials. Everything arrives to customers packaged in recycled packaging. To ensure sustainability, AG offers a re-polishing, cleaning and 1 year Gold plating service so that your piece will stand the test of time. We have fallen in love with these bespoke organic handmade candle holders. Who said jewellery can’t be for your home too.
Homework
Homework is the extra chic lifestyle store aiming to create a balanced, relaxing atmosphere for your home. Inspired by traditional Chinese medicine and the healing power of nature, they produce a line of natural skincare and toxin-free home fragrances. As well as selling minimal ceramics, chopping and serving boards, Japanese cleaning brushes and essential oils with their respective burners. All of their products are handmade using only natural or toxin-free ingredients in small batches in their East London workshop. Their packaging is recyclable, biodegradable, and minimally packaged in eco-friendly materials. Their candles are hand-poured into steel tins manufactured in London using solar power, which can be infinitely recycled.
